Gourmet Galaxy: an unexpectedly successful DeFi, NFT and gaming combination
Hey! A few days ago while browsing through the wonderful world of internet I came across this project that at first instance surprised me (pleasantly) because it is innovative and shows us ideas that we come across every day but in a quite different way, Gourmet Galaxy has much to contribute to the Crypto ecosystem, I think it is a project that will stay with us for a long time and will grow, so, taking into account all this today I will make an in-depth review of all the services it offers, because it is definitely worth doing it, here we go!
Why Gourmet Galaxy and not another project?
In this ecosystem we have seen millions of projects born and die so it is really difficult to define which projects are worthwhile, most of them appear and fail for the same reasons, today we take Gourmet Galaxy for this review because it really has something to offer, it is not the typical project that is born and dies every day, with a solid idea and a clear horizon. Gourmet Galaxy is a Yield Farming platform that as mentioned in the title is a combination of Defi, Nft and games that integrates and works almost seamlessly providing among others mainly three services: Gum Swap, Gum Farm and Gum Pad.
Gum Swap
This first service of Gourmet Galaxy is a decentralized exchange, for those who do not know exactly what a decentralized exchange is, they can think of Uniswap as an example, nowadays after the boom of this type of markets multiple similar options emerged, but Gourmet Galaxy’s is really interesting.
Gum Swap is a decentralized market that uses the same fees as Uniswap, being this 0.3% per operation, the same technology (AMM), but it offers us something more and it is at this point where this product stands out considering that it optimizes the speed of the Swap, for now Gum Swap only offers three (3) currencies with which you can exchange (USDT, GUM, ETH) so we will be aware to see when they integrate other currencies, it would be interesting to use this optimized swap with other currencies.
Finally I would like to tell you that, if you are new to this kind of markets and you are more used to centralized markets like Binance, Okex, Kucoin… you should not be afraid to use this kind of platforms and if Gum Swap will be your first approach I would say it is the right one because its use is intuitive, the platform is really friendly, so it could be a good first try, if you have doubts you can ask and I will help you in the process.
Gum Farm
Since I started the review I have told you that Gourmet Galaxy is a pretty complete project, so of course it has its own Farming, the operation is quite simple, it is a Yiel Farming / Liquidity Staking platform where if you provide liquidity you can get Gum token in return.
Gum is a token built under the Ethereum Blockchain (Erc-20) and looking to be able to be supported on the Polkadot Blockchain soon, it is utility and governance token with a total supply of 20,000,000 million tokens that came to market at $0.10 and today are worth $1.61 (3/23/2021) so it is definitely a token with great forward looking potential.
Back to Gum Farm as mentioned it is a tool you can use to get Gum Token, but… Why should you stack Gum Token?
Gum is the native token that gives life to all this ecosystem being a fundamental part of the game that Gourmet Galaxy offers us, Gourmet Universe is this game in which we can share experiences, have fun and at the same time earn money, isn’t it fantastic? Within this universe we find the NFT Universe being a Dapp that contains many games where each one represents a separate and gamified DeFi application, within the ecosystem the assets will be purchased with Planet and in turn these Planets will be purchased with Gum.
At this point it is important to talk about another product that Gourmet Galaxy offers being this Galaxy Market, where we can freely exchange the assets of the game so it is also fundamental in this ecosystem. In summary, I was doing a tour of this game and if you want to have fun and at the same time earn money this is definitely the platform for you and if you want to get Gum to be inserted into the ecosystem Gum Farm is a great option.
Gum Pad
Gourmet Galaxy has products for everyone, even for investors and projects, so if you are reading this and you are an investor or representative of any project it’s time to pay a little more attention because Gum Pad can be a great ally for you.
Gum pad is an IDO (Initial DEX Offering) i.e. a funding tool for new projects on the Blockchain and represent an alternative for the typical IEO (initial exchange offer) and ICO (initial coin offering) models, this IDO offered by Gourmet Galaxy offers projects immediate liquidity and also provides the opportunity to reduce the typical costs of centralized markets.
On the other hand, if you are an investor, Gum Pad offers certified projects with great potential. In general terms, this new product that Gourmet Galaxy seeks to implement has a dual purpose and is aimed at fulfilling both, so if you are part of this ecosystem you cannot lose sight of this product.
Final considerations
Gourmet Galaxy represents a valuable addition to the crypto ecosystem, when performing a complete review of all its products the conclusions are quite positive, the products it offers in general lines have all a fairly intuitive use that allows new users to have a comfortable experience and to expert users it provides them with considerable improvements. The reality of the Blockchain today is quite complex and the appearance of platforms such as Galaxy Gourmet that are quite complete, but at the same time accessible is really positive.
